Helikon Jackal soft shell jacket provides insulation, protection against wind and moisture, and retains a high level of breathability at the same time thanks to the Shark Skin - a 2-layer, elastic material. On the outside, the jacket is coated with Teflon DuPont which protects against dirt and water, while from the inside it is lined with superfine fleece and mesh.
Moreover, it is equipped with innovative Quick Side Access (QSA) system. The Quick Side Access is a unique system that guarantees quick and comfortable access to all waist-mounted tactical accessories. Due to the ergonomic solutions applied in QSA system, the user can reach for a gun, paralyzer or any other accessory in one smooth motion, which greatly increases the reaction time in hostile situations. In addition, Quick Side Access (QSA), thanks to its civil appearances and adequate placement, is perfectly suited to actions performed in urban surroundings.
All the actual measurements given on the site as "armpit to armpit x 2" refer to the measurements of the garment and not the size it will fit.
The best way of checking if an item will fit is to measure a similar garment you have which fits well and compare the measurements.
When we give the "Armpit to armpit x 2" on an item it is measured directly at the top of the side seams (armpit to armpit) laid flat, then the measurement is doubled, giving the circumference.
If we state that an item is labelled "to fit xx" / XXcm" please check this against your own measurements.

How to return your order:
Excellent product that I can heartily recommend. I bought the 'coyote' colour... and you have to like the slightly muddier-than-tan colour, but I liked the design so much, I bought a second Black one. I would suggest, perfect for use underneath - perhaps a thin light nylon top jacket to keep rain showers at bay, then you have the best of worlds with layering, and secure pockets to travel urban or country environments. I word on sizing. The wealth of choice at 'Military 1st.' with apparently similar designs nearly caught me out, as I twice ordered too small a size on other products whereas the 'Helicon Jackal' I purchased is roomy and comfortable. At full inhalation my chest hits 43 inches and my 'Large' size jacket fits perfectly with an inch or two to spare, which makes it very comfortable and not tight to load the pockets etc. This is NOT the case with, for example the 'Highlander soft-shell' jacket, which the 'large' size was VERY snug but it's a different -Top coat-jacket.
